My Last Week in New York... (Part II)

Despite the cold, mummy and I went for a nice long stroll along the Hudson river.
Hee, I was walking way ahead of mummy as I was pretty excited as it had been a while since we walked that route.

The wind was pretty strong (thus explaining my mohawk).
Posing in front of New Jersey beside the NY Waterway ferry terminal.

Taking in the breathtaking view.
The lovely tall building is where we called home for the past three years.

Enjoying the hudson breeze..

After enjoying the breeze, we decided to walk on.
As usual, mummy was too slow for me... *snooze*

Hee, decided to put what I learnt in agility class (donkey years ago) into practical use - Beam balancing.

Running on the beam!

The sun was setting as we walked and it sure was glaring. I could barely open my little eyes.

Sigh, I'm going to miss such extraordinary views.

I was on the Top of the Rock!
Okay, yeah, that was lame. =P

It was pretty awesome just chilling on the rocks. I got a slightly elevated view and that sure made the river more gorgeous.

River/ Bird watching.
Plotting a plan on how I can get my jaws paws on a seagull.

Mummy loved this photo and showed it to Daddy and said: "Here's your corgi."
Hee, guessed my pointy ears made me look like a cute corgi.

One last photo of Sam, the corgi.

We headed back shortly after as the breeze was real chilly and it was getting darker.

Goodbye Hudson river park. I'm gonna miss ya!

My last week in New York... (Part I)

This is officially my last week in NYC. My parents are moving back home to Singapore. And yap, I'm moving from the Big Apple to the little red dot half way round the globe.
Anyway, since it's my last week, mummy decided to make it a special week and bring me to places in the city that I frequent and love. Hence, I'm going to share my final few adventures in the city over the next few days.

We hopped on the train on a lovely winter day to....

Union Square Park!!!

Actually, mummy wanted to visit the Christmas market there. So she ended up dragging me, daddy and grandmummy there.
But hey, I'm not complaining..
because...

It's a squirrel heaven!
Woohoo~~~
Dang.. check out how fat the well-fed squirrels are..
*drools*

So I embarked on my hunting spree and was busy squirrel hunting.

Nope, not here...

How about here?
nope...

After a good ten minutes of futile challenging squirrel hunting, we decided to head into the market.
The market was so crowded that daddy decided to pick me up.

Taking a quick break at the fountain.

After the window shopping at the christmas market, we headed over to Petco!
YEAH!
Mummy and Daddy were busy shopping and were neglecting me.
Thus, I decided to shout "I WANT A TOY!"

And guess what...

It worked!
Mummy placed three toys on the ground and asked me to choose what I wanted.

"Can't I have all three?!"

Mummy: "Nope."

Sigh, so I went ahead and picked the bunny.

But stupid daddy thought the chipmunk (middle) was cuter and bought the chipmunk instead.
Chey~ what did you even bother asking when you have already decided. What a waste of my time~
Oh well, at least I've a new toy. Shall quit complaining.

We walked the rest of the way home and even stopped by Madison Square Park for a quick round of squirrel hunt. Unfortunately, the sun had set by then and we couldn't take any decent photos.
 Maybe next week..

More exciting places coming up!!
Woohoo~

Meet our newest addition.. INU!

Well, mummy always wanted a second dog. But due to some reasons, we couldn't. (PHEW~) So, she decided to satisfy her own desires by getting a puppy by Eero Aarnio for Magis. She decided to name her Inu (which means Dog in Japanese) since she's learning Japanese. How creative. -_-

I wasn't too pleased to having another 'dog' in the apartment and was a little hesitant meeting her.

Despite that, I decided to be friendly and try to sniff her butt. But she kept ignoring me.
WHAT?!

Maybe she will respond if I sniffed her face.

Still no response. -_-
Unfriendly.

To award me for my effort, mummy gave me a huge treat. And surprisingly, Inu didn't try to steal the treat from me! Guess she's not that bad afterall.
Okay, I decide to approve the new addition.
Welcome to the family INU!

After some exploring, I realised that Inu makes a perfect head rest!

As well as a great resting platform.

Sly mummy knew that daddy wouldn't allow her to buy this rubbish Inu if she asked and knowing how forgetful daddy is, she went ahead and bought Inu. When Inu arrived, Daddy was surprised and asked mummy where did she come from. Hee, mummy told Daddy that she had informed daddy about the purchase and daddy had agreed previously. Daddy was like "oh, I must have forgotten".
You should have seen the huge grin on mummy's face!
So cunning!! But I like! =P

Anyway, Inu will be joining us in Singapore. So please bring extra treats for her when you come visit us!

Scrapbooker Sam..

Who says Scrapbooking are for ladies?
I'm into scrapbooking too! Okay, more like I give mummy moral support by staring at her while she scraps.

Mummy managed to find this wonderful scrapbooking album just for dogs on amazon and with a quick fix (she took an existing photo and did a lousy quick cropping job), it's personalized!
Whee~

Introducing my first scrapbooking page - Fetch!
Using photos we took during our West Coast trip, with the help of a Jolee's boutique sticker, a great suggestion from Auntie Rachel (the grass patch) and way too much time (mummy took 5 hours!), the page is completed.

Isn't it just awesome?

More pages to come!!

Swimming in action!

Just discovered the wonders of animated gif files and decided to make a animated gif of me swimming in action!

Too cute for words?

I think so too!

It's Halloween...finally~

Hee, it's finally Halloween and mummy decided to bring me out for my daily walk in my new costume, as well as to test if the costume was able to withstand Sam's rascal ways. And guess what, it did!
Oh, and I decided to name him.. Mr. Pumpkin Head!

We decided to test it out in the dog park. (Lucky us managed to head down at a time when there were fewer dogs and all of them were also my friends! Plus, none of them tried to stripped me off my costume! Phew~)

And the testing begun with...an awesome game of fetch!

Check out how awesome Mr. Pumpkin Head did while I sprinted.
Granted that he was a little off balance, but he sure did hang on tight.
Kudos to you, Mr. Pumpkin Head!

We even smile in sync!

After a quick rest, we decided to put Mr. Pumpkin Head to one last test...

Sam's Jack Russell Leaps!
I jumped,

and jumped,

and JUMPED!

And he just held on tight!

WOO HOO~
Well done, Mr. Pumpkin Head!!

This is indeed the best costume EVER!
Oh, the walk ended on an even more awesome note when I got a treat from another dog owner who thought I was trick or treating!
HOORAY~
