Daddy's new toy

Mummy had to work late and tasked Daddy to watch over us for the evening.
However, stupid Daddy actually ditched us at Grandmummy's and by the time Mummy came home, she was rather pissed to find us missing.
Yap, there was no welcome dance from me and Pecan.
Booooooo~
To make things worse for Daddy, Mummy actually bought him a big pressie.
So when he saw the present, he let out an apologetic and sheepish smile.
Stupid Daddy.

Just to make sure that we didn't miss out on the surprise, Daddy actually waited for us to return home to unveil the present.
We were elated to see such a huge box!
"Is it a box full of treats?!?"
Daddy: "It's not edible! And it's mine!"
Huh?
For once, the exciting item that came through our door wasn't for us.
Oh well...
And we weren't sure if we were allowed to use the contents of the box.
And when Daddy said yes, we couldn't wait to find out what the amazing item was.
I mean, it's not everyday we see Daddy grinning from ear to ear.
(He usually puts on a resigned face)
We waited patiently while Daddy set it up.
Unfortunately there was only one controller in the set. And being the boy of the household, of course I had the 'right' to hang on to it.
Besides, Pecan ah ma was contented just sitting next to see to catch the action.
Pity the setup took a tad long.
(Stupid Daddy forgot his password)
We quickly got bored as Daddy took forever to reset his password and eventually trotted off.
We found Mummy in the kitchen and conspired to put on our best begging faces.
Of course, we got a chew treat each. Satisfied with our 'steal', we happily retreated to our little corner to munch on it.
So I guess there are three happy souls at home today!

In fact, we are definitely the biggest winners tonight and we're certainly looking forward to Daddy's late gaming night..
cos that means, we have his side of the bed to ourselves!
WAHAHAHAHAHAH

I am FIERCE!

Mummy showed me a picture of my best bud, Jäger and I was in awe!
He looked so fierce!
Rawrrrrrrrrrr
No wonder he can scare off his brother (Snowy, the goldie) easily.
I wanna be like him!!
Maybe this way I can stop being a wuss and finally scare Pecan ah ma off.
(She's the Empress Dowager of the household btw. Yap, in other words, she wears the pants.)
#mylifesucks

So I started practising, hard.
Here's my best attempt!
Mummy couldn't stop laughing when I showed her my 'mean' face.
In fact, she kept calling me a "Gu Niang"
So horrible.
I think I look quite vicious ma.
But as usual, Pecan ah ma agrees with her.
She just wouldn't give a damn about me and my 'fierceness' and simply walked away when I confronted her.
#whyyounogivemeface
Oh well, guess I just have to work harder.
Grrrrr

Our lives through an iPhone - Our weekend!

It's a pity weekends are so short.
But just having two days isn't going to stop us from having a fulfilling weekend!

We started our Saturday at Grandmummy's! Unfortunately, we also started on the wrong foot and got punished for being mischievous.
#notmyfault
Wonder why?
Pecan ah ma was barking at the neighbor who just came home and I decided to join her on her rant.
Like that also got punished.
Pui~
Thankfully, Mummy let us off after a quick lecture!
Wheeee~
Pecan ah ma attempting to score brownie points by acting cute.
As for me, I vented my anger (for being maligned) on Angry Bird! (which also happened to be ah ma's favorite toy)
Ho ho ho...
When all was forgiven and forgotten, our parents whipped us away and brought us for a swim!
 photo 8gd3e_zpsff6b58b9.gif
Pity we got caught in the rain doing so.
#soakedchicken
It started raining cats and dogs and our parents had no choice but to end our weekly highlight earlier.
Even worse, Mummy had to bathe us at home!
Yucks!
Pecan ah ma looking tired but happy after the bustling morning and afternoon.
We spent our night hogging Mummy's chair.
"Nope. It's ours. Move on."
Clearly, Mummy was not impressed and chased us off pretty soon after this.
Boooo~
We decided to take it slow on Sunday and settled for being Otakus for the day.
In fact, we spent it learning about our ancestors!
Then, we got into our cleaning gears and transformed into Ahjummas and joined Mummy in tidying up the house.
I'm taking my role very seriously k.
Nay, just kidding.
We weren't ahjummas.
We were APPLES!
#Notimpressed #Mymummyisanidiot
Luckily, stupid Mummy knew to reward me well for humiliating me.
Nom nom nom~

Wasn't too happy about how our weekend ended, but we sure spent it well!
Can't wait to see what's in store for next weekend!

Cat wanted...

When my parents moved to NYC, Mummy told Daddy that she wanted a dog.
Without any hesitation, Daddy said yes.
So here I am.

When we moved back to Singapore, Mummy told Daddy that she wanted a SECOND dog. (So demanding hor~)
Daddy said no for a while before he saw Pecan ah ma's photo.
Then he said yes, reluctantly.
So here's ah ma.

After we got ah ma, Mummy told Daddy she wanted a cat.
(She is totally pushing her luck)
Daddy said no.
After a while, he remained a firm no.
Of course Mummy didn't give up.
And when Auntie Charmaine rescued a little ginger kitty (lil' Weasley), Mummy thought that it was time to try again using a different approach.
This time, she needed me on her side.
So, on a fateful afternoon, she brought me to meet Weasley.
A sweetheart he is, but an angel I am not.
(Plus Daddy stuffed me some treats with a little instructions)
In a nutshell, I did not get along with Weasley, not at all.
I was whining non-stop and charging at him, while he hissed at me.
Grrrrr...

Along with my 'awesome' reactions, Mummy's dreams of having a cat was officially dashed, for as long as I'm around.
Sorry Mummy, that's a long way though. Hehe...

I felt kinda bad that I single-paw-edly destroyed her 2+1 dream (2 dogs + 1 cat).
But, the truth is, if Mummy paid a little more attention to me, she would have realized that I am the cat she always wanted!

How?

I love to chill at weird places.
Kinda liking my cosy little corner.

I'm a little obsessed with boxes!
I'm Sam-mi-mi, the kitty in a box.
Here's Pee-kee-kee, the silly old dog of the household.

I perform the cat-stretch.
And can even pose in style while doing so.
In fact, I've been doing it since I was a puppy!

I love playing hide-and-seek on high grounds.
Nah-nah-nah-Boo-boo~
Pecan ah ma cannot catch me!
PS: Mummy, it's time to pack your closet.

I'm a fan of the cat teaser toy!
GIVE IT TO ME!
Despite showing this to Mummy, she wasn't impressed and was still a little disappointed with the fact that she would never be able to shoot a lovely picture of me, Pecan ah ma and a cat.
To ease her loss a little more, Auntie JY was pretty awesome and took some time to create this...
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this though.
Hope you like it Mummy.
HAHAHAHHAAH
Sorry Mummy, cat wanted but it's not gonna happen~
(I spy Daddy doing a victory dance from the corner of my eyes)

Our lives through an iPhone - A darn Good Friday

I adore public holidays that fall on weekdays.
It's like this lovely little treat for me and Pecan ah ma!
Being the crazy obsessed dog parent Mummy is, of course most of such special occasions are devoted to the two adorable pooches. (Our resigned Daddy has no choice but to abide to Mummy's demands)
Wahahahhah!
#myparentsaredogslaves

So, I pretty much spent most of Good Friday (that was last week btw) getting quality massages from Daddy!
A clearly satisfied customer.
While Pecan ah ma spent her morning tormenting our new toy.
Geesh, she looked so pleased with herself!
Of course, we also took some time off to wish one of our favorite persons in the world...
A VERY HAPPY Nth BIRTHDAY!
We love you, GodMummy!!!
Why can't every Friday be a good friday?
Boooo~

Our lives through an iPhone - Bishan Park!

Pecan's trainer wanted our parents to expose her to other dogs (from a safe distance) to work on her reactivity. Thus, our devoted parents brought us here for a walk in Bishan park!
They actually woke up at 7.30am on a Sunday morning for this!
#myparentsaredogslaves

Though they did have to drag my lazy ass out of bed, it was all worth it!
I did get some playtime in the dog run (accompanied by Daddy of course), while Pecan and Mummy worked on ah ma's training.
Pecan did great and only reacted to one out of the four dogs she met!
Kudos ah ma!
Keep up the great work!

Our lives through an iPhone - Sam & Pecan's Secret Garden

Mummy found a fully enclosed park at Grandmummy's condo!
We officially declare it Sam & Pecan's secret garden.
*Wriggly dance*

Of course we got some off-leashed time.
As usual, I didn't do too well as I got too occupied barking competitively at the dogs at the landed properties surrounding the park.
It's not my fault their owners decided to lock them up in the backyard ma~
So yap, I lost my off-leash privilege within the first five minutes of the walk.
booooooo~
Ah ma did great and responded to every single command Mummy had, so she remained off-leash throughout the walk.

Our lives through an iPhone - Sam @ Work

When Mummy broke her S3 on purpose, erm, accidentally, she knew she just had to get an iPhone again.
And boy, I'm sure glad she did!
Especially since, she has started using her iPhone to capture our week!
It's quite difficult and certainly impractical to carry her DSLR everywhere she goes. Hence, it's a real delight that she can now use her phone to capture moments that she might otherwise miss.
Best of all, the images looked great (I mean the model plays a huge part too la~) and certainly blog-worthy!
So I was wondering, why not start a series of posts of our lives through an iPhone!
#geniusSam
Keep a lookout for short entries throughout the week to find out what mischief we have been up to!

Anyway, I lent my paw to Mummy for one of her shoots at work.
Besides being showered with tons of love by her awesome colleagues, I also caught up with my favorite second favorite (sorry, but Daddy is staring at me from his corner) man in the world, Jager, over coffee.
Mummy got a little bored waiting around and decided to play a game of #Findsammo (totally inspired by Find Momo, which she loves)
Super no kick lor.
-_-
Thankfully, she decided to up the ante.
Zzzzz
Still so boring.
Oh well, who cares~ I got rewarded for my hard work anyway.
#Iworkfortreats
Blending in with the surrounding before calling it a day~
I love tagging along with Mummy for work!!
In case you're wondering, Mummy also pimps Pecan ah ma off for photoshoots too. To be on the safe side, Pecan usually does shoots when no other dogs are involved.
So, yap, be ready to spot Pecan ah ma in the magazine too!!

Cole turns O-N-E!

I attended my very first dog birthday party for the year!!
Of course I came dressed for the occasion!
It's Cole's birthday!!!
This charming fellow officially turned one-year-old (even though he weighs x3 of me!)!
Welcome to adulthood dude..
The party was held at Paw Pet-radise Cafe.
Cole's awesome Daddy booked the whole place for two hours for us to create havoc!
Besides being a closed door event, there was some yummy finger food for the humans and paw food just for dogs!
The party was really relaxing and we pretty much just spent our time...
sniffing butts,
Making new friends.
Meet Smiggle, the American Cocker Spaniel, who secretly has a crush on me, maybe because I'm American too.
Sorry babe but I'm taken.
Goofing around.
Bunny Sam wishes you Happy Easter~
Most importantly,
begging for food.
I started with a more subtle attempt by sitting around where food is.
Was a little surprised that my charms didn't work.
Mummy said it was because I already had three meatballs.
Where got enough??
I'm a growing boy, k.
To up my success rate, I decided to join forces with the Birthday Boy.
Still failed~
#mylifesucks
Final resort....
shameless begging!
GIVE IT TO ME!
The birthday cake came in the form of a cupcake tower!
Interesting isn't it?
Was a little disappointed that we didn't sing him a birthday song! I was all ready to put my lovely vocals to use.
Oh well~
I loved that the cake was easy and quick to divide (not to mention delicious too) and I ended up with TWO!
By the end of the party, my not-so-little cute tummy was bulging.
The final count of what I ate...
*drum rolls*
5 Meatballs, 4 Lung cake and one birthday cupcake!
HEHEHEHEHHEHEH
Life is good man~~

In case you're wondering, we had to leave Pecan ah ma at home as she does not do well in tight spaces with a lot of dogs.
But though she was left behind with Daddy, she was not forgotten!
The 'aunty' in Mummy came to good use as she did remember to pack some yummy food back for the greedy ah ma!
Thank you Uncle Bryan for inviting us and Happy birthday once again Cole!!!
We're absolutely looking forward to our very next dog birthday party.
And maybe if we continue to be good doggies, our parents might plan something awesome for us in September (Ah ma's birthday)!
