Sam's Pick: Animology

The kind people at Pet Lovers Centre dropped us an email to ask if we were keen to review their products.

You know we'll never say no.

This time, we tried our paws on one of PLC's exclusive products -  the Animology Shampoo.

All the way from the UK, it is an multi award winning brand that is trusted by groomers and animal care professionals around the world!  

Mummy is a sucker for branding. So she was sold the instant she saw the packaging.

Besides that, there is a wide range of products for dogs of all sizes, skin and coat types.

We were so spoilt for choice that Mummy took so long to decide which two products to test out.

After like FOREVER, she decided to give the White Wash Shampoo a shot.

It is specially concocted for white dogs and has been developed using a low foam formula that makes it quick and easy to rinse while reducing the chances of any irritation.

It also comes with a built-in conditioner, which means that lazy mummy didn't have to rinse us twice.

Needless to say, that made her rather happy.

True enough, the shampoo is really gentle and we didn't mind when Mummy used it to scrub our faces.

It really rinses off easily and within minutes, we were done.

Mummy also took this chance to try out the new shower robes she bought for us at the JRM auction.

Don't we just look so sparkling white?

On one hand, Mummy felt that the scent wasn't strong enough. (By the next day, there were barely any traces of the scent.)

However, she did feel that we might be more comfortable with the lack of an overpowering scent.

Afterall, we really ain't fond of smelling like a walking flower. 

So, if you're looking for a mild smelling shampoo, this is certainly a must try.

We also had the best opportunity to put the stain removal function of the shampoo to test.

My recent gig (heheheh...will reveal more in a future post) required me to put on some makeup. 

However, the first time it happened, it took us three thorough washes to rid it completely. 

So, Mummy wanted to see how efficient the White Wash shampoo would be.

And O.M.G...after just one wash....

I was as good as new.

Test Passed (with flying colours too man).

Of course, if your dogs, like us, love to rub on god-knows-what to smell funky, there's always a nourishing spray to help musk the scent.

Mummy chose the Dogs Life Nourishing Spray as she wanted to give us a clean and fresh look.

Like the shampoo, she did feel that the scent didn't linger as long as others we've tried, but she really liked how light and easy it is to use.

In addition, it was able to musk whatever stinky smell we picked up.

Cushion us!

We all know Mummy is kinda obsessed with us.

Introducing the cushion version of us!

Mummy first saw this illustrator on Dog-Milk and immediately wanted one, i mean two. 

She had always wanted a pillow version of us and did go as far as to print a silk-screen version of me.

However, she realised that the end product is highly dependent on the quality of the photo.

And since she is a sucky photographer, of course it didn't turn out very well.

Hence, these cushions from Kara Burke are a win-win.

Firstly, she gets yet another illustration of us.

Secondly, she gets to hug the cushion version of us!

Well, since these cushions have officially replaced us on the couch...

We have no other choice but to sit in the box they came in..

Doggie Workout with K9FITbone

A recent visit to the vet confirmed Mummy's fears...

Pecan ah ma's body isn't quite keeping up.

While it isn't falling apart just yet, her joints are starting to display signs of stiffness.

The vet advised Mummy to minimise Pecan's climbing of stairs and unnecessary jumping. Plus, should she show any signs of tiredness or reluctance to walk when we're out, we should allow her to rest.

Other than that, we were also sent home with the first of many bottles of glucosamine.

To be honest, Pecan is really an energetic ah ma and she is way more active than I am.

In addition, Mummy has done a couple of steps to keep her active and healthy.

Maintain lean weight -  Checked

Swimming - Checked.

Despite that, Mummy is still a tad worried that her little body might not keep up with her in future.

So, kiasu Mummy started doing some research on how else to strengthen her joints and muscles.

And with the recommendation from Auntie Kristina,

To Mummy's surprise, we absolutely love the K9FITbone!

A Fuzzy Sleepover

It's been a while since we did something fun in our lives.

To spice our boring lives up a little, Mummy decided to throw us a sleepover party!

Hence, she asked us to invite our friends to join us.

But hor, we don't really have many friends.

Oh well, so we decided to make do and invited our three FuzzYard troublemaker friends!

Say hi to Electra the Unicorn, Aussie Shoo and Sushi the Fish.

Since it's a party, it was a must to wear hats.

We spent our whole evening chilling and chatting about our lives.

And that was when we started to hear grumbling sounds coming from our little tummies.

Well, I mean a sleepover isn't really a sleepover without some yummy snacks!

Thankfully Mummy was thoughtful enough to prepare some desserts for us.

Since Shoo was our guest, we gave him the first sniff.

Pecan ah ma decided to go for the Cupcake Toys instead.

Of course, this was when I realised the truth...

those weren't actually edible.

Although this was our very first time tasting it, we absolutely loved it.

After we ate and drank to our fill, we were really to tuck in with our friends on our comfy beds.

Pecan chose to snooze on a Tipping Point Reversible Pet Bed while I was rather pleased on my Rio Pillow.

These beds were so comfy that Mummy is a little sad that we rather sleep on them than squeeze on her bed with her.

On hindsight, the sleepover wasn't that bad.

Afterall, we were exhausted and our tummies were beyond satisfied.
