Mummy's note: Pecan's countdown

The past few months hasn't been great for us.

As you might know by now (especially if you follow us on social media), our favourite old lady is dying. She was diagnosed with Grade C Heart Murmur last year, the week before Christmas.
In simpler terms, her heart is failing.

I hate to admit this, but the countdown has started.

It took Mummy a long while (erm, about three months) to realise that she actually did not share the group shots from our Ohpopdog shoot with Pecan!

Our little 'old' superstar - Pecan Woods

Mummy decided to have a photoshoot to celebrate Pecan's 15 years! It was a no brainer for us when we chose which photographer to use. Cos the photographer + assistant are some of hers and ours favourite people around - the amazing people behind Ohpopdog!

Sam is 8!

My birthday this year was a rather quiet affair.

You know how much your Mummy loves you when she decides to write "Sam is an ass" on your birthday cake.

We took the delicious cake to one of our favourite hang out and devoured it in seconds.

Actually, I think that Pippin is a bigger ass than me lor.

No, we didn't forget Shelly. 

Shelly is having a staycation with her breeder (because... she just had a litter of pups! We will share that in a bit).

So, Mummy specially ordered some pupcakes and delivered it to her breeder's place for the little girl to enjoy.

Mummy's note: It's bittersweet celebrating the birthday of this little rascal cos I get reminded that he's getting older. It's quite amazing to have watched Sam grow from a tiny 2 month old to this pudgy uncle. While it aches a tad seeing all the white streaks that are developing around his eyes, I am extremely proud of what an awesome dog he has grown up to be. This little ass has changed so much, from actually making friends with cats (okay, not all cats), not being so gung-ho in joining fights (he's learning to pick his battles, thankfully) and being pretty amazing at recall (okay, I know he cares for the treat he will get than the actual act of coming back to me). 

Thank you so much for bringing so much joy to my life. You are the reason I can't wait to get home each day (Sorry Mr Lim), and the reason I look forward to weekends (cos I wanna bring you and your sisters out).

Well, Mummy started a new job a few months back and the job does require her to work on weekends at times.

The swimming Pips

It's been a while since we updated about Pippin monster's progress.

Here goes...

We know that our priority for Pips is to build up her muscles, especially since she spent a good part of her life being caged up. 

The best way to do so, is none other than... SWIMMING!

My Godmummy Kitty bought me a Bread Bed recently!

And when Pecan came along, Mummy made a mental note to make one for her too.

2017 marks the fourth year that Pecan has joined the Loo Lim Household.

While Mummy took her home with the expectation that Pecan will act like a senior citizen - aka docile, mild.

Turns out that this ah ma was even more energetic than I was! (And I was only 3 then leh)

Pecan did have her own share of problems when she first joined our family.

That said, the amazing granny has come a long way and is actually the most popular of us three.

Our Pick: Draw For A Cause

It's an open secret that Mummy is obsessed with getting illustrations of us done.

Hence, it's a no-brainer that Mummy would participate in Woofer & Purrlensky's project for the year - DRAW FOR A CAUSE.

This initiative is pretty neat.

From now till the end of the year, all you have to do is donate at least $150 worth of food or cash to any local animal welfare organisation, present your donation receipt at Woofer & Purrlensky and the extremely talented boss, Beverly, will illustrate your pet for free!
