Neckwear models

While Mummy was flipping through my stash of dog clothes, she found us lovely neckwear pieces to model.
Clothes, I hate. But neckwear, I tolerate.

Anyway, I realised that my right profile is better looking. Guess it's my white ear!
Pecan? Aiya, the ah-ma has a pretty symmetrical face (and an near-eternal smile) so, her front view is good enough. (But I'm cuter right?)
Me pretending to be a distinguished gentleman in my collar from Bangkok while Pecan's just stoning in her bandana.
Hopefully Mummy gets the memo and stick to buying just neckwear in future. (So far so good, and I'm not gonna jinx it!)

Hand me downs...

I became part of the Loo Lim family when I was just 8 weeks old.
Throughout my growing up days, Mummy would buy me pieces of clothing every now and then. Of course, I eventually overgrew them one after another. Mummy, being a semi-hoarder, was very reluctant to toss away any clothes I had and decided to keep them as keepsake (well, to remind her of the horrid 'puppyhood' I guess).
Plus, she always thought her second dog would be bigger than me (She wanted a matured Border Collie or Mongrel. She swore off puppies after what she went through with me. *BEAMS*) and hence, there was close to zero chance that any other dogs in the Loo Lim household would fit into those clothes ever again.
But miraculously, we welcomed Pecan ah-ma into our family instead. And you know what, being a size smaller than I am, she actually fits into some of my old clothes!

The yellow raincoat!
Somehow, Mummy thought it was cute to have my facial hair sticking into my eyes. -_-
Thankfully she has gotten over that.
Phew~ covering your eyes with your hair is like so passe...
Anyway, as my little tummy kept growing (still is), Mummy had no choice but to replace it with a Wagwear raincoat!
And guess what, the duckie raincoat actually fits Pecan perfectly! So, now she won't get wet in the rain!
Bring it on thunderstorms..
RAWRRRR...

My Grandma bought me this cute CNY outfit (left) and I wore it during my very first CNY to my parents' friends' place to cheat earn ang baos!
I was kinda sad when I outgrew it as that was my money-making outfit!
Thankfully, Grandma bought me a new one this year.
And yes, it fits Pecan too, though she looks like a little boy in it.
Well, maybe with our combined powers, we will have a great harvest at CNY next year.
He he he...

So far, so good huh? At least the above outfits are somewhat useful.
Okay, the next one is like.. epic fail.

So on our first trip to Orlando when I was six months old, my parents went to Universal Studios and brought the whole family Dr Seus' shirts.
I was clearly not impressed.
But at least it showed the world who's boss. (I'm number 2!)
I was so glad when I outgrew the shirt!
Come on, family outfits?! How tacky.
But then, as usual, shit happens.
When my parents went back to Orlando (without me!) last year, they decided to buy me a bigger shirt!
Like seriously.
-_-
I was super pissed la. First they abandoned me. Then they buy me such a lousy present.
Pui.
Yap, so somehow or another, the first piece that I outgrew fits Pecan like a hand in a glove.
So, yes. We have couple outfits.
Even worse, we have matching family outfits!!!!!
Arggghhh...kill me please.
This is like uber uncool man. I'm sure my friends would laugh their tails off at me if they catch me wearing this! I totally needa dig a hole and hide in it.
And judging from the photos, I think Pecan agrees!

Not looking forward to the day we have to parade in these hideous shirts as a family. (I think Daddy is dreading it too.)

Mummy's TOP THREE presents!

Yes, yes. Christmas is a time of giving. But let's admit it, everyone is expecting to receive something in return.
(I know I am. Hehehe)
As always, Mummy and Daddy spent a great deal of time and $$ Christmas gift shopping this year!
And as the norm, there were some hits and many misses in the presents they got from others!
Hee, so, with Mummy's permission, we decided to share her top 3 presents!

Here goes...

At third place is...
(image from Muji)

Actually, Mummy saw this a few months ago and really liked it. However, she couldn't bring herself to buy it at the price it was selling. So she was super happy to receive it from Rusty's Mummy!
WHeeeeeeeeeeee!
Pecan ah-ma and I decided to challenge each other to a game.
Bring it on..
Sighhhhh...Dang it.
#Losingsucks
Well, she won cos I let her start first k.
Hmph. *sulks*

Oh well, at least we had a good game!
Moving on...

At second place is...
Yes, Mummy has one too many Crumpler bags. But of course, there is no such thing as too many crumplers to her. Besides, this is the second one she received as a present! (The first was on her 21st birthday!) More importantly, it's her very first pink bag too!
Thank you to the Grossips Aunties. HAHAHAHA.

Stupid Mummy insisted that we pose for her.
(Both of us were clearly NOT impressed.)

Anyway, I personally think it makes a better floor mat.
No?
Obviously, I got chased off pretty quickly.
Oh well, at least it has been sam-tized. *Grinz at the numerous strands of white hair on it.*
Muahahahaha..

And now for the grand prize..

The best Christmas present of 2013 is...
.
.
.
.
US!

Come on, admit it.
Nothing beats waking up to these super duper lovely, cute, adorable, happy, charming, cheeky, smiley, cheerful, captivating, lovable, sweet and darling (Shit, I ran out of adjectives) faces in the morning, right? So of course she should count her blessings!
Hee, well, Mummy actually does not take us for granted and agreed that we are the best things that ever happened to her!!!!!!
*Two wriggly butts!*

Oh, in case you are wondering why Daddy's present is not on the list, it's simple, there was NO present from Daddy. When Mummy asked him what he was getting her for X'mas, his reply was short and sweet.
He simply pointed at us and smiled.
And guess what, Mummy nodded and smiled back too!

Christmas pressies for the dogs!

Happy (belated) boxing day!
Hee, we were so busy over the festive season! It's only now that we finally had time to sit down and open our pressies!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..
And we felt so loved indeed to be showered with all these lovely gifts!
A closer look at our loot!
Thank you Rusty's mommy and (human) sisters (x4), especially Cousin Erin for spending her own pocket money to buy us even more treats! *Muackz*
Thank you Uncle Liang, Auntie Huien and Dot for the awesome water bottle!
(Hee, the funny part was Uncle Liang bought the bottle when I was still the only child and he was abit worried that it is too big. And interestingly, Mummy went ahead and adopted Pecan ah-ma. So  it totally worked out as the bottle will serve both of us just nice now! Lucky~)
And, thank you my mother-in-law Auntie Charmaine for her thoughtful gifts too!
Pecan looking foxy in pink!
Hee, her rogz collar actually matches mine, though mine is orange!
And I got a Chomper
Hee, trying to imitate my idol, Jäger!
Convincing?
Hee, of course, Mummy and Daddy also bought us something!
And it reminds me of my birth country!
Yes, MERRICK TREATS from the USA!
Thank you for so much love!!!!!!!

Our Christmas eve dinner...

My parents are crowd-avoiders and heading out on a day like this is an absolute no-no.
Since it was a special occasion and Mummy did get off work early, she decided to step into the kitchen and do some cooking. (Yes, she can cook. Not the best in the world, but not terrible enough to kill)

Hee, likewise, to reward us for being great kids for the year (Well, of course, it's mainly me. Pecan only hopped on the wagon halfway), she actually prepared a special dog-friendly portion for us!
MUMMY, YA DA BEST!

Mummy prepared the Oven baked chicken with carrots and potatoes. The dog-friendly version was made using skinless and boneless chicken breast with a reduced amount of olive oil. In addition, Mummy sprinkled some parsley on ours for some breath-benefit (*glances at Pecan*). She also cooked it for a shorter time since the portion was smaller and she didn't want the breast meat to be too dry.
We were waiting patiently for our dinner.
However, ah-ma was so excited about dinner that Daddy had to hold Pecan every single time Mummy opened the oven to prevent the her from scalding herself. She would barge into the kitchen and follow Mummy around like a shadow.
For me, I was wise enough to laze on the couch and wait to be served.
After a good hour and a half, our dinner was served (on a kiddo size casserole too)!
Wheeeeeeeee~
The adults had a bottle of Moscato and some sauteed mushrooms too.
We seriously couldn't be bothered with the fancy shit as all we wanted was our food!
*Drools~*
Can we start?!
PLEASE?!
Mummy was a darling as she even made an effort to separate the portions evenly and even shed the chicken up.
Plus, we were so excited that we did a little circle dance that got Mummy laughing. Guess that earned us our dinner!
Sorry, no 'eating-in-progress' photos as everything was gone in seconds.
And OMG, It was sooooo goood that I resorted to licking Pecan's already licked-clean bowl to try to pick up any leftovers. (Of course there were none. Dang~)
Thank you Mummy!!

Made With Love - Dehydrated chicken treats!

While most days I sigh at the loss of my only child status, there are times when I'm really glad that Pecan's in our family.
And today is one of them!!!

Cuz Mummy made us dehydrated chicken treats!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeee....
(Mummy enjoys making things for us, just that a lot of it goes to waste in the past as she doesn't quite want me to finish everything and become too fat. Boo. Now there's Pecan to share the yummy food!)

Tadah~
Waiting to eat...
 Stupid Mummy tempting us...
Arggggggh...
As both of us are able to offer Mummy extremely firm sits on most days, she decided to up the ante and requested for 'Paw' instead.
Here.
And of course, we got what we deserved!
It was so delicious that we finished it immediately.

Conversation between Mummy and Daddy - Tail wagging exercise

Mummy: Pecan doesn't seem to be putting on much weight leh.
Daddy: Think her tail wagging burns all the calories. Look at Sam. He hardly wags his tail, that's why so fat.
Mummy: LOL
Sam: ......

My parents are idiots.

That being said, Pecan's tail is pretty amazing I have to say. It's almost impossible to snap a shot of her tail as it is ALWAYS wagging at full speed.
Crazy~

Maybe I should try to wag my tail more to burn the extra calories.

Our new bed

It's bad enough [for daddy] that Mummy's office is located at an industrial area since there are tons of warehouse sales happening in the vicinity.
It's even worse when it's a lifestyle furniture store (Egg3) having one. (Yes, Mummy is a sucker for home furnishing)
BUT...
Unlike Daddy, we are always happy when Mummy brings home new stuff she bought as more often than not, they are for US!
Wheeeee.....
#wedaboss

Obviously in Mummy's dictionary, there is no such thing as "too many beds" and we are pretty aware of her addiction. Hence, we weren't overly surprised when she purchased a floor cushion that doubles up as a bed for us! (I swear Daddy let out a sigh when he saw it. HAHAHA)
Thank you Mummy for my new bed!
Just when I was enjoying and relaxing on the comfy cushion, Pecan ah-ma crawled up sneakily beside me and settled down.
WHY?!
That's when reality stuck. My only child days are over.
Booooooo....

Well, at least Pecan ah-ma seems to like the new bed as well.
Since she's happy, I'm more than glad to share too!
*Angelic smile*
Okay, okay... Fine, I admit
Mummy did promise to give me more treats for being a good boy!

Merry X'mas!

Mummy whipped out the old reindeer ears we have (we bought it from Macys) to get us ready for some festive photo taking.
Unfortunately for her (and lucky for us), we only have one pair. Thus, to determine the better candidate to don the piece, we both have to first model it.

Who makes a better reindeer?
(Chants: Pecan! Pecan! Pecan!)
This was one competition that I wanted Pecan ah-ma to win.
Why?
Cos winning means you have to wear the stupid ears. Yucksss.
Hence, I was overjoyed when my parents thought that Pecan looked cuter in it. (I think her non-stop turbo tail wagging sealed the deal.)

BUT...
just when I was still gloating over her win, Mummy, out of nowhere, pulled out a hideous elf hat and put it on me.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo....
Of course, I wasn't very happy. -_-

Yet, this was nothing a couple of treats can't fix.
So I put on my best smile for the shot of the night.
Too bad Pecan didn't get the memo that she needs to smile to earn a bigger reward.
Hahaha... she did get a treat, though mine was wayyyy bigger.

Anyway,
Merry X'mas!

One for Sam Forest, one for Pecan Woods

Remember this?
To welcome Pecan ah ma to the family, Mummy bought Pecan her very own lunch bag too!
Not surprisingly, Mummy got her a cat bag and an equally cute cat bento set! (She's like the cat that mummy will never get. ooops)

So now, Pecan finally has her own lunch bag to put her own meals!
Wheeee.... congrats ah ma!
Ain't the two bags and bento sets just look so cute together!
Of course, two happy pups!
PS: We even held hands!
We saw Mummy packing our meals for tomorrow in! Can't wait to see what surprises are in store for me.

Mummy's note: Sorry pups. You are getting the same old kibbles.
Wahahahah
